A bit about “The Birdman”
Real name John Canary
Born 1963
I was raised in the typical middle income family , Home with dogs cats, various pets , Vacations in summer , Boyscouts the typical Suburb life, with a fewminor bumps along the way. At 19 went to collegeand earned a 2 year degreemwhere I started a Carreer in the Eletric field, Landing me now at the N.Y.C.T. as a Instructor doing training.
My appreation of art came early both parents were very creative, y father love photography. And handed mr a camera since the 4th grade. Around the 8thgrade I startes to devoluping my own black and white pictures I was never without a camera . I really liked the action sports and non-posed style. Than in late 1980 my father passedasdid my passion for photography.
Fast forward to 1994 Im marriied one son , various pets, And was in Bicycle Club doing rides , Got a nice camera and the passion started again, Alas it didnt last long with marrage problems, Moter had a huge stroke . Mylife was turmoil for a few years, After a OK divorce I started to Baseball games and conventions with a dear friend .Once again the cameracame back in but this time , the digital was growing a Ibought a Sony digital. Later My 1 st Canon and never looked back. At tines I wonder what my father would think of this digital age and how he would enbrace it , in motr ways thn one.
So now I live in Brooklyn with a nice setup ,With retirement coming in a few more years. Im looking to setup a way to keep busy. Hence why Im at this and other sites to attempt to sell some prints ad just keep busy.

phIn photography once you start out your married to that brand . I Choose Canon because of the glass. I use the R5 as my primary and have a R for back up. For sports ,mygo to is named The Kracken A beast of a lens 200-400 mm wijth a 1.4 mulipler built in with the ground glass. For stret have a 35mm a 500mm and a 85mm fixes. As with any Canon the work horse will Always bethe 70-200 2.8 lens . Enoughhas been said about the70-200 a must have in the bag, Also the EF-1 flash

Lookssmall like a point and shoot, Alas afull frame 28mm 45.7 mp sensor. If you look at it not knowing about the Leica brand. you would paas it by. I love this powerhouse simple stunning range and lightweight. Perfect for streeet and landscapes with its 1.7 apeture takes a great portraitas well. But wait theresmore has a awesome Macro to.

When I joined the NYCT , My job was time based and need a watch to record certain times. A cheapcasio or timex would be perfect. Alas the mechanics of a automatic thrill me. Im not obseesedwith getting a rolex but the smaller brands Aragon, Avi-8, invicta, Hamilton. I love . And try to wear a differnt one each day.
